Sarvana's Virtual Retreat... The Quiet Place

Hello, My name is Sarvana, the virtual alter ego of a real person yet to be named here. Why have I elected not to give a name? Well, it's quite simple! This is the story of an avatar, Me.

As I stated in the first entry of my Journal, I live in several virtual worlds including Metaplace, SecondLife, Smallworlds, Yoville, Kaneva, etc. As a dual resident, I find the various virtual communities to be fascinating. Each one offers something different which is very exciting. As an active resident, I work in SecondLife where I have an apartment in the BH/Bluenose community. I have a very active life in my primary world, Metaplace where I live, socialize, build, and play. Most of my daily "living" is sent in Metaplace and SecondLife except for an occasional visit with friends in the other worlds.

Metaplace (MP) is a community of numerous user-created virtual worlds and games. Upon arriving in Metaplace, you can browse the growing directory of Worlds, explore MPCentral, interact with other MP residents, build your own customized virtual world and invite your friends. Every virtual day is packed full of excitement in Metaplace!

My recorded story started in the hub, "The Virtual Journal of an Avatar". The hub that you are reading, "Virtual Retreat of An Avatar" is the second entry for my Virtual Journal. So, here are some tidbits about another day in the virtual life of the avatar, Sarvana. Enjoy!

One of my Metaplace worlds, "The Quiet Place" serves as a retreat to get away from the virtual and "real" world drama, to relax, and to socialize with friends. Today is a day for world building and expansion. The Quiet Place was recently resized from 40 x 40 to 100 x 100 (I will explain about the sizes another day.). In the new space,  I added a beach complete with sand, water, fish, and waves for swimming and relaxing. The expansion allowed for the addition of another waterfall which will direct the river water into the newly created beach. Even added a Bathhouse/Changing Room for avatars to literally change their clothes and appearance to suit the various outdoor activities. Great swimming spot!!!

A friend stopped in to visit and checked out the beach area. He shared some great news about animated objects for future world building. The Metaplace residents are so refreshing because they are always ready to help another avatar and to share their "technological skills". Oh, well... short visit... No time today for hiking, chasing butterflies, or even a picnic. The additions must be completed before day's end because tomorrow is a "real world" day.

Next, the campfire area was moved into a new campfire area in the newly built campground for friends and visitors. The previous campfire area will now be used for socializing and dancing to streaming music.

You are invited to take a peek into my newly expanded virtual world, "The Quiet Place" which is located in Metaplace. Feel free to visit anytime...
